Getting Started with KnowFlow
KnowFlow relies on reviewing cards at a precise moment to best help you memorize them. It is important to review cards the day they are due.
Three Short Steps to Begin:
1. Create a Deck
Decks are like folders for your cards. Organize your knowledge into subjects or topics.
2. Create a Card
Cards are the core of KnowFlow. Each card has a "Front" (the question or prompt) and a "Back" (the answer or explanation).
3. Begin Your Review
Head to the Dashboard to begin your daily reviews. Once you have cards, the dashboard will guide you.
How Does the Review Work?
KnowFlow uses a spaced repetition algorithm to optimize your learning. When you review a card, you'll rate how well you remembered it:
Hard:
You struggled with the card. It will be shown again very soon.
Good:
You remembered it, but it wasn't effortless. It will be shown again relatively soon.
Easy:
You remembered it perfectly. It will be shown again much later.
Perfect:
You know it! This card will be scheduled for review much further in the future.
There is no "Bad" score - a 1 just gives KnowFlow more data that this card needs to be reviewed more frequently. The goal is to move cards from "Learning" to "Mastered" by consistently reviewing them.
